7 Months

Our lives have been very uneventful out here in Hinton. The most exciting thing is staying home and watching Ava and Jimmer grow like weeds. Ava thought that we needed to have a party for Jimmer yesterday since he is now 7 months old. We would be having a lot of parties if we celebrated every month. Our little guy is growing so fast and changing so much. His new thing is giving a huge gummy smile when I take pictures. I laughed so hard as I was taking these pictures and I couldn't get enough of his big, toothless grin.

Happy Valentine's Day

Jimmer and I had a little photo shoot here at home for Valentine's. He was not cooperating very well, but I sure got a laugh out of all the faces he was making.

All Things New

It's been way too long since I've been shopping. Like I'm talking probably since we went to Seattle in September and even then I didn't buy anything for myself. Well and then Christmas shopping, but that doesn't count because most of it was done at Walmart in Hinton. We were in desperate need to get to the city for some essentials, but there was one little problem. Jimmer had an ear infection and was put on medication. The pharmacist warned that it would probably cause diarrhea, but I didn't know that it would be this bad. He had the worst diaper rash I had ever seen and was blistering and bleeding. We thought that it would be best for him to stay home instead of torturing him in the car the whole weekend. Instead Ava and I left for the city while the boys stayed at home. It was nice to get away from Hinton and nice to go shopping for the day. The essentials were a car seat and high chair for Jimmer as well as new sleepers. Ava had a blast at the Disney store and was really patient with me while I did some shopping for myself.

This was before we left for the city. Ava looked so cute and all these ladies at the mall were commenting on how beautiful her hair was.

Jimmer's new car seat. As soon as I saw this one I knew that I had to have it!! We'll probably have to buy a new car in order for it to fit because it's so big.

Just a little project that I've been working on. I saw this on pinterest and had to try it. I must say that I was pretty impressed with how it turned out.

6 Month Shots

I took Jimmer for his 6 month shots on Friday and I must say that I wasn't too thrilled. Previously I have taken him on Shane's Friday off, but this time around it just didn't work out that way. Luckily he only had to have one shot, so it wasn't so bad. The worst part of it was probably the fact that I had to have my tetanus shot at the same time. I love my little man and here are his stats this time around...

Weight: 19 pounds 2 1/2 ounces

Head: OFF THE CHARTS!!

Jimmer is doing so well and by some miracle hasn't thrown up the entire content of his stomach in about 3 weeks. I attribute it to the fact that I have stopped giving him his meds, but what do I know? He is just so happy lately and I can't get enough of his sweet little smile. His favorite thing to do right now is suck on his toes. It's so funny to watch him fold himself in half and shove his toes in his mouth.

Gregory

Ava came home from school the other day with an extra backpack in which she told me that she got to bring home Gregory. She was so thrilled and thought that I should be just as thrilled, but I wasn't quite sure who Gregory was?? She quickly explained that it was a bear that the class got to share with one another and each had the opportunity to spend the week with him. Ava was so happy to take pictures with him and tote him around to our various outings. She got to take him skating, to church, to the grocery store, and she even took him to the park to swing on the swings. She was also so excited to share her new friend with Jimmer.
