Enjoying the Heat

The last two weeks of summer vacation have been filled with lots of fun as I've tried to make it memorable for Ava.  The weather has been absolutely gorgeous, so we've been trying to take advantage of every little bit of sunshine that we have.  Ava has been taking swimming lessons and just passed her Swimmer 1...she did such a great job and has really taken a love for swimming.  I have been exhausted, but it's what makes the kids happy.  I think that Jimmer has had just as much fun.

Week One:

Swimming lessons with her teacher, Keepa.

Bowling was lots of fun and I think that I did better when Jimmer was helping me.  And that was even with the gutters up.

Playing at Jarvis Lake.  Ava has been very patient because we still have to make sure that Jimmer gets his naps.  Ava's friends from school were there, so she just ran around with them.

I always have to have my eye on this little guy.  He thinks that he needs to hang out by the stairs and drop things through the railing.

Playing dress up with her bear.

Week Two:

Bowling yet again.  We were the only ones in the alley at this time.  The guy that works there asked why we weren't enjoying the sunshine and I responded with, "have you seen my two red headed children?"  We can't spend too much time out in the sun.

Playing at the new Edson spray park.  The water was really cold, but the kids had so much fun regardless.  Ava makes friends wherever she goes and this day was no exception.  Her and Hannah had so much fun running around and getting wet.

This was our day at Kelly's Bathtub.  The water was a lot warmer than Jarvis, so it was a lot more enjoyable to swim in.  This is Arial, the friend of the day and again had so much fun.  A friend from Shane's work came with us and the kids took to her right away.  Jimmer loved the water...at least when mommy was holding him.

We also went swimming at the community pool, to the library, to the park and for a picnic.  I would say that it was a fun filled couple of weeks and now I'm ready for some relaxation.
