We had a great Christmas here at home with our little family. Unfortunately it wasn't our year to have Ava, so there was a void there and we all missed her a lot. We went to the Larson's on Christmas Eve and had a lot of fun eating and visiting as well as seeing the kids reenact the nativity. Jimmer wanted nothing to do with it, but instead pretended to be a dinosaur and roar at everyone. When we got home the boys opened their Christmas pj's (or Jimmer opened everyone's jammies) and went to bed. Christmas morning was so exciting, probably more for Shane and I. The first thing Jimmer wanted to do when he woke up was watch toons. When he saw all the presents he finally realized the idea of Santa and Christmas morning. It being Carter's first Christmas, he was just mesmerized by the lights and color. The boys would have been happy with what was in their stockings and Carter went back to bed part way through opening presents. We love our little family and are grateful for this time of year in which we can reflect upon our Saviour and all he has done for us. We are so blessed by the gospel in our lives and look forward to this coming year.
Opening up all the jammies!
It's nearly impossible to get both boys to look at the same time, so I was quite pleased with this one.
Daddy and his boys!!
Christmas morning fun!!
Jimmer is obsessed with Toy Story and this is a TS book that he got in his stocking. He would have been happy with just this, but he managed to put it down long enough to open his other gifts.
Rocking out with Carter's new microphone.
He loves his Buzz Lightyear. Santa knew just what he likes.
Inseparable!!
Sharing his dinosaur with "D".
He loves his puppy!!
My happy little man.
Christmas dinner was at Aunt Penny's and Carter stood for 10 sec. all on his own.
When this little sweetheart arrived a couple days after Christmas we got to celebrate all over again and open even more presents. We were so excited to see Ava and spend a week together.
