Hockey Night in Calgary

The end of November we took a trip down to Calgary to watch our nephew Brendan play hockey and had such a fun time spending time with Randy and Jarrod and a short visit with Brendan as he was on the ice most of the time.  We love this time that our kids can spend with their cousins and am grateful that they have such good cousins to look up to.  Brendan and Jarrod are both such great boys and Jimmer adores them.  As we were watching Jimmer would yell, "hockey, go Brendan go"!!

Also a big thanks to Becky and Mike for letting us stay in their home and being such great hosts.  They took such great care of us and am looking forward to going back when we can spend some more time.

Saturday night Shane, Randy and the boys got to see the Flames play the Oilers.  They had a great time and the Oilers managed to win, which thrilled Jarrod!!

Cheering on his big cousin and loving his sidekick.

Always so happy!!

Every time he saw a sign like this he would say, "me, Mike the Knight".

Always so into his "toons"!

Throw Back Thursday and Pain

I went to the massage therapist yesterday after almost a month of IT band issues.  She did a great job of loosening the muscle, but now I'm in some serious pain today.  I really hope that this does the trick though and I can run without my knees giving me grief.  The massage therapist said that it's such a small muscle that it's really hard to stretch out.  I guess that it's a good excuse to keep going back for regular visits.  Any recommendations on a good foam roller?

I love looking at pictures of the kids and then looking at pictures from a year ago and seeing the progress that they have made.  I have never done a throw back Thursday, but here's my first.

Happy Halloween 2013

This Halloween was much funner than last as Jimmer actually understood what was going on and for weeks before he was practicing saying, "Haween" (Halloween) and "treat" (trick or treat).  It was also so much fun because it was Carter's first Halloween, and even though he didn't know what was going on, it was cute seeing him all dressed up along side his big brother.  It would have been nice to have Ava here with us, but hopefully next year.

Carving a pumpkin with daddy.  Jimmer was more worried about what was on the TV at this point.

When we lit the candle and turned off the lights, Jimmer absolutely freaked out.

Halloween day in their cute little bat shirts courtesy of Gap.  When I first bought Jimmer's shirt he wouldn't go near it and freaked when I tried to put it on him.  Luckily he finally warmed up to the bat!

My cute little dragon although we told Jimmer that he was a dinosaur.

It doesn't get much cuter than this!

Carter trying to steal Jimmer's Smarties.

All ready to trick or treat!

October Randoms

We have been enjoying this fall weather as we normally jump right into winter most years.  It has been a beautiful fall season full of fun times with family at Thanksgiving and looking forward to Halloween.

Love that cute little face.  He's enjoying his castle tent that his Aunt Theresa gave the kids.

Carter is always managing to get himself wedged underneath the bed.  He made it to the middle before he just kept banging his head.

Rescued!

Brotherly love in Costco.

He's growing up too fast.

He climbed up on his cousin, Ethan...even though he is a baby he loves LITTLE babies.

Happy boy!

Jimmer is obsessed with dinosaurs and his Aunt Kristi lent him this costume for Halloween.  He was scared to put it on until Carter put it on and then he decided that it wasn't so bad.

Hair cuts are not a happy time!

But he looks so cute afterwards.

He finally got a new bike and loves it.

Too cool!

This spunky little girl adds lots of fun to our home.  Never a dull moment when she's around.

Enjoying nursery.  This was the first Sunday that Jimmer went without a fuss.

Playing in the leaves after church.

Sporting his Canucks gear with one shoe.

He was loving the lion costume.

Shane was down in Seattle for Thanksgiving enjoying his football weekend with Jay.  They were able to go to the UDUB game again the Ducks and the Seahawks game against the Titans.  I was sad that I had to miss out this year.
