Here Comes Santa Claus

We decorated for the Christmas season a little early this year because Ava wouldn't be with us for a couple weekends and we wanted to enjoy the decorations before going to Kamloops.  The kids have enjoyed all the lights and glam that go along with the season.  Jimmer's favorite is the sheep that goes with the nativity and the Santa Claus statue.  We thought that the statue would prepare him for seeing the real Santa as he would tote that statue around and give him kisses, but unfortunately this was not the case.  Shane had his work Christmas party on Sunday and the highlight of the day was sitting on Santa's lap and getting their present.  Jimmer ooh'd and aah'd from a distance, but as soon as it was his and Ava's turn to sit on his lap he freaked out.

Getting ready to go see Santa.

Waiting in line to see Santa.  We had to wait about an hour.

Jimmer kept giving baby Ethan kisses on the head.  Let's hope that he loves his brother that much.

The freaking out began.

My little streaker!

A Year Makes a Big Difference

I was looking back at old pictures and couldn't help but share these cute ones of Jimmer.  Everyone always says how fast time goes by and this just shows how much they change in such a short time.  A year ago this little man was throwing up all the time, but you wouldn't be able to tell from these pictures.  Today he is running circles around all of us and keeping us on our toes.  We couldn't imagine life without this little monkey and love every minute of him.  I love just looking at his cute little face!!

More Halloween Fun

Halloween was not the most enjoyable day as there was about a foot of snow on the ground and the weather was blistery cold.  We still managed to go to about 10 houses with our little elephant and earlier in the day we went to the mall to enjoy the festivities there.  Jimmer was not thrilled with the Halloween decor, but he was fascinated with the bouncy house that they had there.  Unfortunately we didn't have Ava with us this year, but she stopped by to show off her costume.

Pumpkin Carving Plus...

Last night for Family Home Evening we carved a pumpkin.  Last year I bought a pumpkin too early and it rotted before we had a chance to carve it.  This year I waited a little too long and this was literally the last pumpkin left in the entire store.  Ava had so much fun watching her dad carve the pumpkin and then she got to gut it.

Me at 25 weeks pregnant!

Allysha put all of her necklaces on Jimmer the other day, so he looks pretty gangster.

I turned on the movie "Amazing" the other day for Jimmer to watch and he sat there for at least 10 minutes watching BYU and cheering them on.  I was shocked that he sat still for that long.

Dress Up

With Halloween in a few days I have been back and forth about what to dress Jimmer in.  I didn't want to go all out, although I just couldn't decide.  I thought a little football player would be cute until I found an old costume of Ava's.  That's when I knew that he had to be an elephant.  He's got the cutest little swagger in his costume and can even make the sound of an elephant.  We went to our Branch Halloween party on Wednesday and then a friends party last night.  The kids had so much fun and I must admit that I had some fun too.  Jimmer strutted around both of those parties like he owned the place and wouldn't hold still long enough to get a good picture.  Ava had such a fun time too, playing with all the other little kids and eating every treat in site.
