The first part of our vacation was spent travelling down to Utah to visit Shane's mom and Allysha. All the kids were so good on the trip down and Jimmer even did really well as long as Brendan was feeding him. We stayed at a resort in Park City which we all had a great time at. The majority of the time was spent swimming, but we also went to visit Temple Square and the new City Creek mall. Shane took the kids and Grandma to a Bee's game in Salt Lake, we went to the first BYU scrimmage, played tennis, basketball, ping pong and even shopped a bit. One day we took the gondola up the mountain by our resort. All the kids really enjoyed it, but Shane was a little on edge as we were hanging there by one small wire. We were so happy to have our nephew's Brendan and Jarrod with us on this trip. They were so much fun to have around and they were super helpful.
The long drive down...
We stayed at my brothers house with his family and they were celebrating South Weber days. Halle and Jaxon both ran in the 5km race and did really well.
Visiting with Grandma Bleazard before heading to Park City for the week. As we were driving through the mountain roads Jimmer was on the verge of falling asleep when all of a sudden he lost it and threw up all over himself. My poor little guy was a mess, but luckily we were close to Grandma's house and he was able to get cleaned up and sleep the afternoon away.
This is Shane's Aunt and Uncle's house in Heber. Pretty creepy that they have a moose in their room.
Fun at the resort.
All the kids loved the pool and are little fish. By the end of the week Jarrod and Ava were perfecting the handstand.
Playing in the arcade.
Celebrating Jimmer's birthday with family.
Lounging while watching the Olympics. Just the way a vacation should be.
Allysha is such a pretty girl. These two bonded by the end of the week.
Jimmer's first real baseball cap. He was pretty proud of it.
More fun in the pool.
Visiting Temple Square.
City Creek mall. The kids enjoyed all the fun fountains.
The BYU scrimmage in the hot, hot sun.
Ava is convinced that she needs to be a cheerleader. While we were at the scrimmage I saw my friends sister who plays on the BYU women's basketball team. I had to introduce her to Ava, so she could see that girls can play basketball too. Stephanie was such a good sport about it!
Jimmer snuggling with his buddy.
Riding up the mountain in the gondola.
The top of the mountain.
In front of the resort the day before we left.
