Spring Hasn't Sprung

I'm sure that everyone is feeling the same way as I am, but I am really sick of this weather.  I am so ready for spring to be here and can't wait to enjoy being outside.  The last week of March we went to Kamloops to see our nephew play hockey in KIBIHT, a big hockey tournament there.  We enjoyed a great week with family, watching hockey and nice weather.  I sat out on the deck one day and got a sunburn, which I thoroughly enjoyed.  Now we're back to snow and this dreary weather.  It's quite depressing and I just want to be able to take the kids outside for walks, bike rides and to the park.

The kids were outside playing street hockey every day.

Watching Brendan play hockey, or maybe just trying to entertain Jimmer while we tried to watch the hockey game.

We are so proud of Brendan and were so happy to be able to see him play.  He is ranked 3rd in Western Canada in his age category and we are so happy for his accomplishments.

Easter morning...the Easter Bunny spoiled all the kids.

Checking out her loot.

I think he was most excited about the Reese's pieces.

Jimmer's first time eating an oreo and he knows just what to do...lick out the filling!!

Carter sporting his Kamloops Blazers onesie.

Jimmer loves his big cousin Brendan.

Helping Uncle Randy make eggs for breakfast and pulling a cheesy smile.  Jimmer is going through a phase right now where he always wants mommy unless he gets to help someone.  He will drop everything if he gets to help.

Playing street hockey with the big kids.  He was in heaven, running up and down the street with his hockey stick, and all the neighbor kids were anxious to find Jimmer the smallest stick to use.  In the second picture he had spilled water on his shirt, so he threw a fit before I took it off.

A couple of self portraits in the car while we were waiting for the game to end.  The "little" guy needed to eat.

And of course Jimmer couldn't be left out of the pictures.

Ava loves her big cousin Jarrod and they get along so well, even though there is a 4 year age difference.  They had so much fun playing basketball and street hockey, going on Easter egg hunts, decorating Easter eggs and watching hockey.

Ava being creative.

Snuggling with Uncle Randy and giving big smiles.

On the road, heading home.  After a fabulous week away we were sad to leave sunny Kamloops, but we are so grateful for all the great hospitality that Theresa and Randy showed us.  We always love visiting and hope to see them again soon!!
