The middle of July we took a family vacation to Southern Alberta to visit Grandma and Grandpa Nilsson. We arrived just in time to celebrate Stirling days and the kids enjoyed all of the fun. Early Saturday morning Ava and I woke up to run in the 2km road race. We were going to run the 5km, but we decided last minute that it would be best to stick to the shorter distance. Ava did so well and ran most of the way. We'll have to train this year, so she'll be ready to run the 5km in 2015.
The parade is always a big hit, especially because they throw so much candy and the kids were in heaven. There were a lot of neat floats too. For a small town they do a pretty good job.
Carter and daddy getting their gardening on!!
Visiting Grandma Baker and taking her for a walk around the pond.
This cutie made the biggest mess eating his popsicle, so what better way to clean off than in the hose. He thought drinking all the water was the greatest.
Visiting Grandpa Nilsson in his humble little abode. He bought Jimmer a wooden Santa Claus because he knew that Jimmer was scared of Santa from the previous Christmas. It was the sweetest thing and Jimmer and Carter both thought that this wooden Santa was the coolest.
