Spring Hasn't Sprung

I'm sure that everyone is feeling the same way as I am, but I am really sick of this weather.  I am so ready for spring to be here and can't wait to enjoy being outside.  The last week of March we went to Kamloops to see our nephew play hockey in KIBIHT, a big hockey tournament there.  We enjoyed a great week with family, watching hockey and nice weather.  I sat out on the deck one day and got a sunburn, which I thoroughly enjoyed.  Now we're back to snow and this dreary weather.  It's quite depressing and I just want to be able to take the kids outside for walks, bike rides and to the park.

The kids were outside playing street hockey every day.

Watching Brendan play hockey, or maybe just trying to entertain Jimmer while we tried to watch the hockey game.

We are so proud of Brendan and were so happy to be able to see him play.  He is ranked 3rd in Western Canada in his age category and we are so happy for his accomplishments.

Easter morning...the Easter Bunny spoiled all the kids.

Checking out her loot.

I think he was most excited about the Reese's pieces.

Jimmer's first time eating an oreo and he knows just what to do...lick out the filling!!

Carter sporting his Kamloops Blazers onesie.

Jimmer loves his big cousin Brendan.

Helping Uncle Randy make eggs for breakfast and pulling a cheesy smile.  Jimmer is going through a phase right now where he always wants mommy unless he gets to help someone.  He will drop everything if he gets to help.

Playing street hockey with the big kids.  He was in heaven, running up and down the street with his hockey stick, and all the neighbor kids were anxious to find Jimmer the smallest stick to use.  In the second picture he had spilled water on his shirt, so he threw a fit before I took it off.

A couple of self portraits in the car while we were waiting for the game to end.  The "little" guy needed to eat.

And of course Jimmer couldn't be left out of the pictures.

Ava loves her big cousin Jarrod and they get along so well, even though there is a 4 year age difference.  They had so much fun playing basketball and street hockey, going on Easter egg hunts, decorating Easter eggs and watching hockey.

Ava being creative.

Snuggling with Uncle Randy and giving big smiles.

On the road, heading home.  After a fabulous week away we were sad to leave sunny Kamloops, but we are so grateful for all the great hospitality that Theresa and Randy showed us.  We always love visiting and hope to see them again soon!!

Compare If I Dare

I was looking at old photos and found this picture of Jimmer when he was Carter's age.  It's fun to see the similarities of these two cute boys!!  Jimmer definitely had more hair, but Carter is a lot chubbier.

12 Weeks

Love this face!!

11 Weeks

I seriously can't get enough of this little boy.  We were on vacation in Kamloops when this little munchkin reached his 11 week mark, which I will post about later.  I love to see him grow and see those cheeks get bigger by the day.  He seriously has to be the best baby ever.  He fusses every now and again, but for the most part he is so content.  Sleeps most of the time and loves being held, which isn't a problem around here.

10 Weeks Already

Carter is 10 weeks old today, so I had the opportunity to do a little photo shoot with him.  It turned into a photo shoot with both Carter and Jimmer because Jimmer just loves his little brother so much!!  I took Carter for his 2 month immunization shots yesterday and he weighs a whopping 13 pounds already.

Growing Too Fast

My babies are growing way too fast.  I took Jimmer for his 18 month shots on Wednesday and this is the first time in months that he's been weighed and measured.  He's now weighing in at 28 pounds 7 ounces and his head is still off the charts.  He's in the 85% for weight and 65% for height.  While we were there I weighed Carter and he's 8 pounds 15 ounces.  All the nurses said that because he was a premature baby it would take two years to catch up and from the looks of things I don't think he's behind at all.  He's well on his way to being a brute just like his big brother.

Helping mommy make a cake.

He couldn't keep his eye's open.
