Minding the Gap and Running...Lessons Learned

I learned a couple things the hard way yesterday.  We went to the mall with the sole purpose of buying my husband new jeans in which we went straight to the Gap.  Ever since we got married he has worn Loose Fit Gap jeans as they seem to fit the best for him.  In his words from his facebook rant...

"Dear Chick At The GAP, I have been buying your loose fit jeans for the past 5 years, so please don't try and tell me that the relax fit will fit the same because there's only a 1/4" difference. Congrats on being the only woman ever to claim that size doesn't matter!! I like a little breathing room and don't feel the need to vacuum seal my business into a pair of paint on jeans. Also, when you have six styles of jeans and 5 of them have the word "skinny" in the title it becomes clear to me that I am no longer part of your target customer base, therefore The GAP is now dead to me. I am a grown ass man who likes John Wayne, football, red meat, and more football so don't lump me in with the soy latte vegan crowd that wears red skinny jeans... that just ain't me!! I don't need to look like my teenage niece in a pair of turquoise skinny jeans 'cause I'm not skinny, get that crap out of the men's section of the store. If you like skinny jeans more power to you, but if you are like me and most men I know we need to do something about the feminization of manhood. I will be hosting John Wayne movie marathons complete with Pepsi and beef jerky every weekend for the foreseeable future. Rise up my fellow MEN and be heard!!! So does anyone know where a slightly husky 38 year old can get a pair of man sized jeans?"

Slim Fit Red Jeans...What do you think?

Luckily because of this post he was told that you can still order that fit on their website, so I was able to buy him a couple pairs of the Loose Fit.  Thank you online shopping!

Loose Fit jeans...These are a much better choice for my hubby.

I finished my 10 mile run yesterday after getting home which wasn't the best idea.  I usually run first thing in the morning and I find that it works best because I can run on an empty stomach.  Regardless I pushed myself and was able to finish 10.08 miles in 100 minutes.  I'm still working on my endurance and speed.
