This little monkey is keeping me on my toes. He is crawling all over the place and getting into everything. The other day I tried to teach him to go down the stairs feet first, but the next time I saw him he was on his way down head first. Luckily I got to him in time. Jimmer is changing so much and his little personality cracks me up. He makes the cutest facial expressions, chatters up a storm and loves being around people. He waves with not only one hand, but gets both of them going. He is loving the swimming pool. We've only taken him three times, but he already is super comfortable and even likes going under the water. He is finally cutting his first tooth, but it still hasn't come through yet. He is pulling himself up on the couch and you can tell that me wants to just take off running.

DIY
This is a project that I've been thinking about doing for a long time now. If I would have known that it would be so easy I would have done it long ago. The hardest part was finding the right scrapbook paper for the project, but after that was done all I had to do was measure it out and mod podge the paper to the wood. I forgot to take a before picture, but I did get a picture when I remembered. I can't believe what a huge difference this small change makes.

Smell the Roses
Our neighbor brought these beautiful flowers over the other day. She owns a flower shop here in town and I was thrilled when she stopped by. Ava and I occasionally make cookies and take some over to her and her husband, so this was her way of saying thank you.

Softball With Daddy
With Spring time brings softball in Hinton. I think that this is one of the only things to do for those sports fanatics in the Spring, so I encouraged Shane to play this year. There are 29 teams in total, so it just shows how many people get involved. Our favorite thing to do is go and watch daddy play ball and I think that Jimmer is his biggest fan. He loves to stand at the fence and scream and scream and scream to the players while Ava just loves to socialize with all the players.

Dancing Queen
Ava had her dance recital last weekend and she looked so beautiful. The recital started at 7pm on Saturday night, so I was hoping that her ballet performance would be one of the first. Jimmer's bedtime is 7pm and I knew that he wouldn't make it threw the whole show. When we got there we discovered that she would be dancing close to the end. We made it until 8pm and then it was just too late and Shane took Jimmer and I home. I was sad that I didn't get to see her perform, but at least Shane got to be there to see our dancing diva. I watched her on the DVD and she did so, so good!!

Playing Catch Up
WARNING, WARNING, WARNING...picture overload!!
My flexible little one. I found him like this and it was funny because he was in such a position that he kept banging his head against the wall.
Jimmer loves being read to and Ava is getting so good at reading. When Jimmer can pay attention long enough these are the precious moments that I find.
This is the picture that I used when I entered Jimmer in the Gap Casting Call contest. Of course every mom thinks her baby is the cutest, but come on...look at that face!!
We finally put Ava into swimming lessons and she is loving it. We put her in private lessons because we thought that the one on one interaction would be a lot more beneficial where she has never taken lessons before. Now she might not be scared to get her face wet in the shower.
Little Lillian climbing into Jimmer's toy basket. She is about half the size of Jimmer, but she can move a whole lot faster. This little girl can pull herself up on anything and moves around a room like a ninja.

For Easter this year we went to Kamloops to celebrate the holiday with Theresa, Randy and their boys. Allan, Danielle and their family came as well and we had so much fun all being together. Theresa is the perfect hostess and made sure that the whole weekend was just perfect. Saturday we went to the Wildlife park where the kids went on an Easter egg hunt and got to go on a train ride all around the park. Ava loved being with her Auntie Theresa 24-7. Ava, Emma and Walker were her little shadows for the entire weekend.
The kids coloring Easter eggs.
Easter morning...after the Easter bunny had visited us.
A week after we got back from Kamloops Shane had a course in Cranbrook for work. Because Cranbrook is only about 3 hours from Stirling Jimmer and I stayed at my parents house for the week. It was such a well needed break away from Hinton and we had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa. Jimmer was so happy the entire week and loved going out for walks with Grandma. Anytime he would see kids or puppies he would start screaming at them.
Having fun with Great Grandpa Nilsson! Grandpa brought Jimmer lots of candy, so he warmed right up to him.
He loved to stand up to the window and suck on the glass.
Visiting Grandpa at work. He played shy with Grandpa when we first arrived, but by the end of the week they were best buddies. The chair below is the new brutus chair that they got new at the store. It's for very, very large people. My feet wouldn't even touch the ground when sitting in it.

Grandma and Jimmer had so much fun together and it didn't take long at all for them to become best friends. Thanks for everything mom!! We had such a great week and Shane and I even got to go on a date. I spent the week reading the Hunger Games, so we were able to go see the movie which we both loved.
